Troubleshooting

If you feel your unit is not functioning properly, please follow these simple steps before calling Misonix:

  • Inspect probe tip. If it is worn or pitted, replace the tip and try to operate the unit again.
  • Using the wrench set, detach the Converter, Probe, replaceable tip, or any type of tip being used.
  • Clean all mating surfaces and threading (use a cotton swab) with isopropyl alcohol and let them air dry.
  • Re-attach tightly using the wrench set.
  • If you are using an older model that has a Tuning button, Tune it now.
  • Test the unit under normal conditions.

If these steps do not solve your problem, please fill out our brief Repair Form. This form provides us with the necessary information to quickly diagnose your problem and speeds up your repair.

This form must be submitted before speaking with our service department. If your unit requires service, Misonix will e-mail you a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number.

Repairs take approximately 5-10 business days. Further details about the repair process can be discussed after you submit the Repair Form.
