XL-2000

The XL-2000 is an economic alternative to the Sonicator 4000 when working with smaller sample volumes, specifically 0.2ml to 50 ml. Simple cell disruption, mixing and cleaning procedures can be effectively handled by this model.*

The improved load monitoring and frequency tracking ensure that the proble operates more efficiently to deliver consistent sonication intensity at any given amplitude setting. The user experiences shorter processing times and greater sample-to-sample consistency.

In addition to auto tuning, two modes of operation are standard. The probe can either sonicate continuously or be activated by the thumb pulsing switch for greater control. Several probes are available to suit your particular application including a Micro Cup Horn for the safe processing of hazardous or pathogenic samples inside sealed vials.

*If your application requires programmability or higher intensity levels such as DNA Shearing (ChIp Assay), disrupting spores or other difficult tasks, the Sonicator 4000 may prove more effective.

Sound Enclosure

Sound Enclosure

Part # 432A is a version of the standard Sonicator Sound Enclosure which includes an adapter to hold the XL-2000 converter. This converter is smaller than the one used with the S-3000 unit so the adapter ensures that the converter is securely held in place. Please specify the correct part # when ordering the Sound Enclosure.

Note: Sonicators produce high decibel noise above OSHA recommended exposure levels.
A Sound Enclosure is recommended with the purchase of each Sonicator unit.
